On December 19, we at SETE Táxi Aéreo received a call to conduct an International Air ICU flight from São Paulo to Uruguay.
The call reported that Mr. Carlos, 78 years old, had been hospitalized for approximately 50 days at Hospital Sírio Libanês in São Paulo. During his hospitalization, Mr. Carlos underwent several surgeries before being cleared for international aeromedical transport. His clinical condition was stabilized around December 15.
Despite this improvement, his health remained very fragile, necessitating an international air medical transfer to a specialized hospital in his country of origin, Uruguay. Recognizing the seriousness of his condition, SETE activated Dr. José Faustino (physician) and Nurse Robson, along with Commander Thiago Vilella (pilot) and Commander Guilherme Mais (co-pilot) to prepare for the flight.
After completing all necessary procedures and checks, the team traveled to São Paulo to pick up Mr. Carlos from Hospital Sírio Libanês.
At SETE, we understand that every detail is critical when the mission is to save a life. That is why all our aircraft are thoroughly inspected and equipped for all types of emergencies, and our team continually undergoes training and capacity-building courses. It is always a privilege to contribute to saving more lives.
We wish Mr. Carlos a swift recovery and hope that he and his family know they can always count on us.
