On March 18, 2021, SETE Táxi Aéreo successfully completed an international Air ICU flight from São Gonçalo do Amarante, Rio Grande do Norte, to Cayenne, the capital of French Guiana.

The mission’s objective was the aeromedical transport of Mr. Serge, 70 years old, to receive specialized medical care.

SETE Táxi Aéreo is recognized as one of the most experienced companies in executive charter and international aeromedical flights, having carried out hundreds of missions across South, North, and Central America.

With border closures, entry restrictions, and increased documentation requirements becoming more frequent during the COVID-19 pandemic, very few companies have maintained the ability to operate internationally.

“Preparing for an international Air ICU flight is already a complex task under normal circumstances, but the current pandemic has made this even more challenging. International Air ICU missions are almost always operated using jet aircraft, which can travel at speeds averaging 850 km/h with a range of over four hours without the need for frequent refueling. This capability allows long-distance journeys to be completed quickly and efficiently.

According to the flight crew—Edinei de Souza Nunes (Pilot in Command) and Patrick Parreira Cruvinel (Co-Pilot)— the mission proceeded as planned.
